Valentines Day is nearly upon us. You suddenly remember, rush to your closet and worry about what to wear. Consider your outfit carefully. You want to give a good impression. But you don’t want to overdress that you alienate your date. You want to be relateable. But at the same time have a touch of sophistication about you in order to stand out . Think about your date and where you are going and go from there.
Blazers are a plus to your wardrobe. They add an element of class to any outfit. Anything old or worn is banned unless it is vintage. Funny t-shirts are outlawed you want to be taken seriously. Keep the humor for your jokes! Think about the details of your outfit. Please make sure your shoes are cleaned and shined. Sloppiness won’t make the grade. Have a good watch and a respectable wallet. Put your brands to good use like a Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren or Calvin Klein jumper is code for “I like to take care of myself.” You want to tell your date that you make an effort with your appearance. A good shirt goes a long way it shows you mean business. Don’t shy away from colour or pattern we want to show off your personality! But nothing obnoxious okay. There’s one thing you don’t want to be and that’s boring.
If you have muscular arms show them off by wearing something that clings to the arms. If you are wearing pants go for a tailored or slim fit. A white shirt with a good pair of jeans can give you a crisp and sharp look. Get your beard trimmed. Nose hairs are a no, no, no! Make sure your nails are tidy even get them manicured. Your date will look at everything and spot any signs that are unworthy at the dinner table. You can wear a suit always make sure it’s tidy and tailored. You can be casual but smart. No crocs or sandals thanks unless you want to go home by yourself! A nice pair of brogues or even caterpillars goes a long way. Jewellery should be kept to a minimum we don’t want to clutter your look. Don’t be afraid to be tanned it’s 2018 the lads might make fun of you as long you don’t look orange you will be fine. Keep your hair simple or style it to the max nothing in between. You want to be on good terms with your date.
Not be a laughing stock or the butt of your dates joke when she talks to her girlfriends. As always with style make sure you don’t forget to embrace chivalry pull out her chair or open the door for her. You need to be memorable. There’s nothing worse than a stylish man with no elegance. A nice bomber jacket or overcoat will make you look mature and masculine. Throw out your old underwear you don’t know where things will lead so have a respectable pair of briefs. Be a flirt, funny and ask her questions. Always be yourself. We all like to to wear a comfortable tracksuit or sports gear guys but unless you and your date are doing something physical leave it for hanging out with your mates or at home. And if anything I have mentioned makes you squirm dress in something that will make you confident and comfortable. Everything works from that principle being you.
