Tommy Bowe is best known for being a rugby player but is now also a designer. I recently purchased a pair of his Tommy Bowe’s footwear collection which are available in Ireland. I have to say that for an Irish collection that I am satisfied with the footwear on offer. You can buy the range online from Lloyd and Price or in stores around Ireland. I don’t know how much input he has in his designs or how hands on he is. I know that a lot of celebrities and high profile people sometimes have no involvement in a collection they release. They just put their name on the collection and someone else has done the work. And then there others well known personalities that have clearly created and been instrumental in the process. I picked up a pair of his shoes from Gentleman’s Quarters in Cork. And they go with jeans and chino’s. They are durable and conservative.
I think his collections and footwear are very much him. They are very practical looking and very much geared towards the everyday man. I think there is something older and mature about the footwear and clothing he offers. But you will find something for the younger generation too. The footwear along with the clothing showcases a lot of dark, brown neutral colours. It has autumn vibes and winter tones. There are some blues but he doesn’t stray too far with colour. I do feel like this is for the sporty hands on man who maybe works outside or spends his time outdoors. It looks like it is active wear in terms of the boots, jackets and hoodies on offer. But there are stylish jackets shirts and t-shirts aswel. His range is very wearable and will make sure you fit right in wherever you go. His clothing collection with XV Kings is online. I am wearing The Howrill – Camel Shoe from Lloyd & Price. It retails at €39.99. You wanted to know, it is a yes to the Tommy Bowe collection.
